SERVES 4  |  30 MIN  |   LEVEL 2

Ingredients you'll need...

2 chicken breasts (cut in half horizontally to create two steaks)
3 cloves of garlic (minced or finely chopped)
1 heaped tbsp of finely chopped parsley
2 eggs (whisked)
Breadcrumbs (traditional and panko)
How to make Chicken Schnitzel...
  1. Prepare the Chicken Slice each chicken breast into two steaks. Cover with baking paper and lightly pound until slightly thinner. This primes them for the ultimate crunchy, juicy schnitzel.
  2. Marinate Salt the chicken and add it to a mixture of garlic, parsley, and whisked eggs. If you have time, let the chicken soak in this mixture for an hour. The flavours will be worth the wait!
  3. Crumb Time Now, crumb your chicken. For an extra crunch, mix traditional bread crumbs with some panko crumbs. You won't believe the texture this little trick adds!
  4. Cook Time to heat things up! For the best results, shallow fry your schnitzels in vegetable oil, for 4 to 5 minutes each side. They'll turn out golden brown and delicious. Moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside!
  5. The Finishing Touch Once your schnitzels are perfectly cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Now, your masterpiece is ready!

And there you have it! You've just made the crispiest, most flavourful schnitzels for your kids' Food Jar or Bento Boxes.

Parenting is like trying to convince your kid that green beans are as exciting as french fries.
